Our meetings on Thursday mornings at 10.15 am, continue to thrive. Attendance varies between 40 and 50, with our highest in the past year being 56 in September 2012!
We have a total of 58 people on our register, with a number of visitors - family and friends - joining us from time to time. Not everyone who comes is a church member.
We have 7 wonderful teams to serve us with tea, coffee and biscuits, while we fellowship together.
Our stall is well run by Joyce Walker and Tony and Diane Graham, which has enabled us to give £1500 for 2 new windows for the church. We continue to support the church at other times from our General Fund.
We have a very able Treasurer in Eric Sloman, who keeps excellent control of our funds.
Recently, we have been visited twice by our Community Support Officer, Chris, who keeps us informed as to what is happening in our area.
As you know, there are 13 Thursdays in each quarter, and we are fortunate enough to have a different speaker on each of those occasions. In fact, we have 16 people who are willing to lead us!
With so many different people, our 'thought for the Day' is also varied in how it is presented each week.
We are blessed by having both Jane Biggs and Elizabeth Tomkins to play for us.
Recently, Jane Biggs daughter, Margaret came to tell us about how she and another disabled man, were embarking on a sponsored tandem ride from Holyhead in North Wales to The Mumbles in South Wales, on behalf of the Douglas Bader Charity.
Our meetings are a happy time of fellowship together before our speaker takes over at 11 am, after we have mentioned any news of our members and prayed for those on our prayer list.
We would love anyone who is free at that time to join with us and share the fellowship we look forward to each week.

Every Thursday morning
I know I'll get a treat,
I'll take myself to our Church Lounge
My many friends to meet.
There I can have a coffee
For only 50p.
Or maybe I would rather have
A lovely cup of tea.
There's always lots to choose from
On Joyce's Bargain Stall.
She makes delicious marmalade
And sells books to suit us all.
When we've finished coffee,
George rings his little bell
It's time to stop chattering
He's got news of friends not well.
Then we have a speaker
With a message for us all to share.
We finish with a hymn,
And then we're led in prayer.
And soon it's time to say goodbye
And take ourselves away.
But we'll all be back next Thursday,
To our special "Thought for the Day".
